Andrew Rosengard

The firm's principal, Andrew B. Rosengard, has almost thirty years experience in the media, cable television, telecommunications, entertainment, and sports industries. From 1996 to 2004 he was the senior financial officer in operations for Cablevision Systems Corporation, serving as the Executive Vice President, Finance, and as Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance at Rainbow Media Holdings, Cablevision's Programming arm, and as its Vice President, Financial and Strategic Planning, Vice President, Strategic Planning, and as Assistant to the President during the period 1986 to 1996. From 1982 to 1986 he worked at CBS, Inc. in the Broadcast Group's Planning and Business Development department, achieving the title of Director, Planning, Business Development and Research. Mr. Rosengard has an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business with Distinction (1982) and a BS in Business Administration Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo (1979).

During his tenure, Cablevision enhanced its reputation as an industry leader, while growing from $500 million in revenue and $600 million in market capitalization to over $5 billion in revenue, $9 billion in market capitalization and $17 billion in enterprise value. Mr. Rosengard was instrumental in the development of the original four SportsChannels, American Movie Classics and Bravo into powerful and valuable brands, and made critical contributions to the launch of over 20 cable networks including regional sports networks, regional news networks and national networks WeTV, Independent Film Channel (IFC) and FUSE. Upon moving to corporate, Mr. Rosengard helped to develop Cablevision's IO Interactive Optimum digital cable service, Optimum Online High Speed Cable Modem service, its self-install, double and triple play marketing strategies. He led and staffed transactions valued in excess of $30 billion, including the acquisition of Madison Square Garden from Viacom for $ 1.01 billion, the acquisition of over 820,000 TCI cable subscribers in the NY Metropolitan area from TCI for stock, and the sale of the Bravo Cable network to NBC for $1.25 billion.

Mr. Rosengard was directly involved in partnership transactions and relationships with CBS, The Washington Post Company, NBC, TCI, News Corporation/Fox, Quadrangle Group, MGM, Universal, and Comcast. He worked closely with Wall Street analysts, Banks and Investment Banks, and rating agencies. He was a frequent representative of the Company at Media Conferences. In the 1999 CableFax Magazine Cable's Hundred Heavy Hitters issue, Mr. Rosengard was named one of the five executives "the Dolans rely on", and it was said that the exec VP is a 13 year vet whose "financial acumen and strategic counsel have fueled the company's evolution."

Since forming Rosengard & Associates, Mr. Rosengard has represented dozens of institutional investors, has developed recurring relationships with several hedge funds, and represented dozens of others. He has become a retained cable expert at a well known hedge fund with an interest in media properties, has advised on the rate increase strategy for a well known cable network group owner, and consulted on a potential investment in a mid-sized cable network. He has advised clients with interests in cable television systems and networks, broadcast television and radio, satellite radio, European Telecommunications and sports. Mr. Rosengard has also developed relationships with clients in the music, rock poster, credit card processing, and food industries.

In February 2010 Mr. Rosengard joined the Board of Directors of NeoMagic Corporation, a fab-less semi-conductor developer based in San Jose, California, where he served as Chairman of its Audit Committee and in November, 2010 Mr. Rosengard was elected to the Board of Directors of client CPX Interactive, the global online ad rep firm that delivers more than 30 billion impressions to more than 200 million unique users in more than 60 countries every month (view press release).

During 2017 and 2018 Andrew was on the Advisory Board of FantasticoNYC, a Latino oriented entertainment and ticket sales startup that he was advising. In 2019 he joined the Advisory Board of Songs of Love Foundation.
